Rigour Empowers the Resounding Success of the "2022 CTA Tour Finals"
2022 CTA Tour SJM Professional Finals (Macau) & National Tennis Championships, hosted by the Tennis Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the Sports Youth Program Center of China Media Group, the Chinese Tennis Association, and the Sports Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region Government, came to a successful end on December 11th. Four championship trophies were awarded in their respective categories.
In the men's singles final, rising star Cui Jie claimed the championship trophy of the CTA Tour Professional-Level Grand Finals (Macau) in men's singles. Liu Fangzhou once again lifted the championship trophy of the CTA Tour Professional-Level Grand Finals in women's singles, after her triumph in 2020. In doubles, Te Rigele and Zhang Ze partnered up to defeat Wang Chukang/Sun Fajing with a score of 6-1, 6-3, securing the championship. Zhang Ze, who won the CTA Tour Professional-Level Grand Finals in men's doubles in 2020, once again raised the trophy. In women's doubles, the formidable duo Yang Zhaoxuan/Jiang Xinyu staged a comeback with a score of 3-6, 6-2, 12-10, defeating Liu Fangzhou/Wang Meiling and successfully winning their title as champions of the CTA Tour Professional-Level Grand Finals.
In addition to the wonderful competition of various players, this tournament also launched a collection version of the Art Stadium Puzzle Blind Box. The 2022 CTA Tour Macao Finals Art Stadium, with the theme of "Mirror of Mirrors", adopts a bird's-eye view panorama to show the cultural relics of "Macau yesterday" combining Chinese and Western civilizations and the ever-changing vitality of "Macau today". The leaderboard was based on the scoring and landing points of the men's doubles final on December 11th in Macau. As the technical support provider for the CTA Tour Grand Finals, Rigour's system captured the action on the court, accurately tracking the trajectory and landing positions of each tennis shot, and provided official statistics for winning shot placement.
How to accurately track winning shot placement?
The system captures the movements of the tennis ball and players through cameras. After computer vision processing, the data is reconstructed in three dimensions, allowing for real-time tracking of the trajectory and landing position of each shot on the court. The system automatically identifies scoring shots in accordance with the tennis rules. Ultimately, the system generates statistics on the landing positions of winning shots throughout the match.
In fact, Rigour's self-developed intelligent tennis system not only provides data statistics on shot placement and trajectory but also offers independent detection of tennis stroke speeds during matches. The first and second serve speeds can be displayed on LED screens at the baseline. The data statistics also include serving data, speed data, net clearance data, receiving success rate data, and more.
